Josh was recently the Musical Supervisor and Orchestrator for but i'm a cheerleader at the Turbine Theatre, produced by Paul Taylor-Mills, Bill Kenwright and LIONSGATE Films, with the production winning the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off-West Show in 2022. He was also Assistant Musical Director for Jersey Boys in London's West End at the Trafalgar Theatre. He was the Musical Director for The Doncastrian Chalk Circle produced by the National Theatre/Public Acts/CAST, and the Musical Director for What's New, Pussycat? at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, directed by Luke Sheppard with choreography by Dame Arlene Phillips. Some of his other major recent theatre credits include, Cats, Dr. Dolittle, An Officer and a Gentleman, and Grease

Josh has worked with artists including Dame Arlene Phillips, John Partridge (EastEnders, Celebrity Masterchef, CATS), Sam Bailey (Winner X Factor 2013), Tom Parker (The Wanted), Danielle Hope (Winner: Over The Rainbow), Louisa Lytton (EastEnders, The Bill), Kerry Ellis (We Will Rock You), Darren Day (Grease), Jimmy Osmond, Mark Williams (Harry Potter, The Fast Show), Johannes Radebe (Strictly Come Dancing), Elaine C Smith (Two Doors Down), Mike Dixon (MD/Supervisor) and Christopher Walker (Orchestrator)

Josh studied orchestral conducting with Daniele Rosina at the University of Birmingham. During his time there, he studied and conducted works by Sibelius, Borodin, Copland, Elizabeth Lutyens and many more, and was engaged in a number of musical productions such as The Phantom of the Opera and Chess. One of the highlights during his youth career was having the opportunity to sing in the Proms Youth Choir for the BBC First Night of the Proms 2013, conducted by Sakari Oramo, performing Vaughan Williams' A Sea Symphony


After gaining his undergraduate degree in Music, Josh was mentored by conductor David Charles Abell and given the opportunity to assist the conductor with the Olivier Awards 2014 and the BBC War Horse Prom. More recently he has been mentored by and worked on productions supervised by musical supervisor/director Mike Dixon
